Troubleshooting random windows 7 lockups? No BSOD, No event log

If you are consecutively getting lockups during logon, that probably means the systems are improperly cutting power to the drives during the windows default "20 minute inactivity" period, since the systems are not shutting power off to the drives properly it causes the power loss protection on the drives to kick in, when you try to log back on the system is using what data is left on the RAM, when it tries to communicate with the SSD (which is at this point basically turned off), system locks up! You manually restart the computer which resets the controller on the SSD and you are backup an running.

This is a fairly common issue, because some SATA controllers or driver combination may not be cycling power down to the drive in the right fashion; fortunately this is pretty easy to fix by simply disabling the power cut off in Windows power...
